According to the 1901 Canadian Census of Whitby East, Ontario South, Rachel J. PLOWRIGHT was born on 8 October 1863.
J. F. PLOUGHWRIGHT [sic], aged 25, son of James and Elizabeth PLOUGHWRIGHT [sic], married 18 year old Jane BRODIE, daughter of Edward and Annie BRODIE, at Parsonage, Oxford County, Ontario, on 19 October 1881.
From the 1891 Canadian Census of Gwillimbury East, District 131 York North, Ontario:
James PLOUGHWRIGHT [sic], aged 35, married, born in England of English born parents, religion Methodist, profession miller;
*Rachel PLOUGHWRIGHT [sic], aged 27, married, wife, born in Ontario of Ontario born parents, religion Methodist;

Rachael Jane PLOWRIGHT of 136 Colborne Street East, Oshawa, Ontario, a housewife, died there aged aged 68 years and 2 months on 7 December 1931. She had lived there for 19 years and had spent all her life in Ontario. Her father's surname was Brodie but her mother's maiden name was unknown. She was buried at
Groovside [sic] Cemetery on 10 December 1931. The informant was her son Mr. PLOWRIGHT of the same address.
