In Kelly's Directories for 1902 and 1906 George Charles WICKS, bookbinder, was listed at 27 St. Clement Street and 12 Stratton Terrace, Truro. There was no mention of him in the 1910 directory.
George Charles WICKS of St. George's Road, Truro, appeared in the 1907-1908 Register of Electors.
The index to the 1911 census shows that a George C. WICKS and a Julia WICKS were living together in Truro. She was 53 years old. There is little doubt that she was the Julia BROMHAM widow to whom probate of his will was granted the following year.
His death aged 47 was registered in 1912.

George Charles WICKS of 14 St. George's Road, Truro, died aged 47 on 29 January 1912. Probate was granted at London on 19 March to Julia BROMHAM, widow.
Effects amounted to £391.
