She kept an off-licence in North Camp, Farnborough, Hampshire. In January 2001 R. T. J. EDGOOSE recalled that she was in the habit of inviting her friends to consume the drinks they had purchased in her sitting room and was visited by a policeman who told her that she was breaking the law and that further transgressions would result in prosecution.
She had a son who worked in London and was always drinking.

Annie Caroline BROWNE died at 60A Westbourne Grove, Paddington, London, on 2 January 1963 aged 84. She was described as the widow of Horatio Samuel BROWNE a licensed victualler. The informant was her son E. A. F. BROWNE of the same address.
