      He was born at 33 Hatchett Street, Birmingham, Warwickshire, on 4 July 1859. He was described as the son of William, journeyman shoemaker, and Jemima WADE formerly EDGOOSE.
      (GRO September 1859 Birmingham 6d 149).

      Emerly WADE, daughter, aged 10, scholar, born in Leicestershire;
      George WADE, son, aged 8, born in Leicestershire.

      Emily WADE, daughter, aged 30 (20 mistranscribed?), renoler shoe trade, born in Birmingham;
      George WADE, son, aged 18, shoe clicker, born in Leicester.

      He died of phthisis at 17 Kent Street, Leicester, on 15 January 1884 aged 23. His occupation was shoe rivetter. His mother Jemima WADE of the same address was present when he died and informed the registrar. Surprisingly, although she could write, she made her mark
