  EMILY WADE 1860-1888 Emily WADE was born at 123 Summer Lane, St. George, Birmingham, on 27 October 1860, daughter of William WADE a master shoemaker and Jemima WADE nee EDGOOSE. (GRO December Q 1860 Birmingham 6d 183) Neither she nor her mother Jemima nor brother Albert has been traced in the 1861 census. The 1871 census of 17 Kent Street, Leicester St. Mary: Jemima WADE, head, aged 50, widow, staymaker, born in Leicestershire (sic); William WADE, son, aged 13, grocer, born in Leicestershire; Albert WADE, son, aged 11, scholar, born in Leicestershire; *Emerly WADE, daughter, aged 10, scholar, born in Leicestershire; George WADE, son, aged 8, born in Leicestershire. (RG10/3284/44/2) She witnessed the marriage of her brother William WADE to Mary Jane PACKER at Leicester Register Office on 29 May 1879.
