Emily WADE was born at 123 Summer Lane, St. George, Birmingham, on 27 October 1860, daughter of William WADE a master shoemaker and Jemima WADE nee EDGOOSE.

Neither she nor her mother Jemima nor brother Albert has been traced in the 1861 census.

She died of phthisis at 17 Kent Street, St. Mary's, Leicester, on 5 August 1888. She was 27 years old, a hosiery mender, and daughter of William WADE deceased, a shoe hand. The informant was her sister-in-law M. J. WADE of 1 Letter B, Mill Lane, Leicester, who was present when she died.
