Eliza Jane LEWIN emigrated to the USA with her parents in 1882 and married John Thomas GREGORY (who was also from the Wisbech area) on 1 January 1887 in Cook County, Illinois. They moved to a farm in southern Illinois.

By 1920 they had moved to Big Mound, Wayne, Illinois, with four children and were alone there in 1930.
Eliza J. GREGORY died at Wayne County, Illinois, on 28 March 1938.
