  JOHN EDEKUS 1 April 1335 Nottingham Commission of oyer and terminer to Richard de Wylughby, Philip de Nevill, Geoffrey de Edenham and John de Crosholm, on complaint by Ralph Daubenye that Gilbert de Brideshale knight, Walter Trussebutt, William de Duckelby, William de Barneby, William de Whiteby, William Waleys, John EDEKUS, John Malyn, John de Lokyngton, William Philip, Thomas Isabelesone and others entered his free warren at Saxelby, county Lincoln, hunted there, mowed the grass, carried away the grass, hare and rabbits, and assaulted his men and servants. By privy seal (PRO Patent Roll 9 Edward III i m.27d 6 April 1346 Westminster Commission of oyer and terminer to William Deyncourt, Richard de Grey, William de Shareshull, William de Thorpe and William de Gotham, on complaint by Nicholas de Cantilupo that Richard de Wylughby the elder chivaler, JOHN EDECUS of Wollaton, Wiilliam de Strelleye, William son of Roger att persones of Cossale, John son of Adam de Cossale, Robert his brother, and others, carried away his goods at Cossale and assaulted his men and servants there, so that their life was despaured of and he lost their service for a great time.
