  MARGARET STEPHENSON nee WHARRAM 1816-1898 Margaret was reputedly baptised at Naburn, Yorkshire, on 7 July 1816. (IGI patron submission) This baptism does not appear on FamilySearch. The marriage between Margaret WHARRAM and Francis, son of William STEPHENSON, was registered in 1841. The marriage took place on 21 September 1841 at Ellerton by Bubwith, Yorkshire. Another record shows that a marriage took place at The Borthwick Institue, York, between 21 year old Francis STEPHENSON and 25 year old Margaret WHARRAM on 18 September 1841. (GRO September Q 1841 Howden 23 73) (FamilySearch) From her father's will proved at York on 14 June 1866: "To my daughter MARGARET the wife of FRANCIS STEPHENSON of Houghton Ruddings near Howden in the said County Farmer the sum of three hundred pounds". She died at Horse Fair, Pontefract, Yorkshire, on 23 October 1898, a few weeks before her husband. (Source unknown, but probably Christopher Richardson)
