NOTES & QUERIES:
1). When and where did she die or marry?
2). Harriet BUTCHER is NOT synonymous with the Petersfield born Harriett JULIN, wife of Walter James JULIN, in the censuses of 1891 and 1901. Harriet JULIN's maiden name was SUMMERS according to the certificate of the birth of their son Percival Walter on 10 May 1893.
3). The 1901 census has a Harriett (sic) BUTCHER living as a servant to Martha SHARP and her son Richard at Burmah Lodge, Hardington Park, Preston, Brighton, Sussex. She was 30 years old, unmarried, and was said to have been born in Brighton - perhaps an error on the part of Martha or Richard. However, the birth of a Harriet Sarah BUTCHER was registered in Brighton in the March Q of 1871.
4). A Harriett (sic) BUTCHER married at Thakeham, Sussex, in 1912.
(GRO December Q Thakeham 2b 741)
