He married Naomi EDGOOSE at Crimplesham Parish Church on 22 June 1881. Samuel GIDDENS was a farmer and the bachelor son of Samuel GIDDENS - also a farmer. Witnesses were W. Giddens and Ellen DAY.
A Samuel GIDDENS is listed in directories as a farmer of Church Farm, Crimplesham, in 1883 and 1888.
The 1891 census returns for Lynn Dam Field, Walpole St. Andrew, Norfolk, list Samuel GIDDENS, a 52 year old Walpole St. Peter born farmer, and his 50 year old wife Naomi GIDDENS, born at West Walton, Norfolk.
The 1901 census returns for Lynn Road, Downham Market, Norfolk, shows his wife Naomi to have been working as a servant to retired farmer William S. PROCTOR. She was 60 years old, married, a domestic nurse, and born in West Walton, Norfolk.
