NOTES & QUERIES:
A couple of years ago I was contacted by a lady who turned out to be a distant cousin. We are related through the Green family. (You may remember that my Great great Grandmother, Mary Ann Buxton, married James Francis Green and that Mary Ann's mother was Mary Ann Dawson, daughter of Adam Dawson and Mabel). Surprisingly my newly found cousin had a funeral card for Charles Dawson. It reads "In affectionate remembrance of Charles Dawson (of Wisbech) who departed this life September 22nd 1863 aged 36 years "Let me go home" and someone has then written on the side of it in pen "born Ap 16".
