She may well have deserted her husband and children at some time before
the 1891 census. Two of her children were living with other families in 1891 and four were living with their father at his brother's farm in Walpole St. Peter, Norfolk. Perhaps her daughter Ellen GIDDENS, who was living with her in 1901, was not her husband's child and precipitated the marriage break-up?
