      "Crosby.- ERNEST CROSBY, Westaella, Fleetwood; son of John CROSBY of Hull, merchant; born at Hull, July 10th, 1860; educated at Cleveland College, Darlington, College House, Baldock, Cambridgeshire, and the Moravian Institute at Neuwied-on-the-R-Rhine, Germany. Member of the Fleetwood Union District Council; elected Coronation Chairman, April, 1902; re-elected Chairman, April, 1903; has been President of the Fleetwood Branch of the British and Foreign Seamen's Society; Hon. Secretary of Fleetwood Branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute; Solicitor to the Fleetwood and District Richmond Building Society; Unionist in politics; member of the Wesleyan Church, and Circuit Steward for the Blackpool Circuit; for eight years Superintendent of the Fleetwood Wesleyan Sunday Schools; Hon. Treasurer to the Local Free Church Council; largely instrumental in the erection of the New Fleetwood Wesleyan Church, of which he and his wife laid the foundation stones; Vice-President of Fleetwood Cricket Club. Married Adelaide Eliza, the daughter of the late Rev. Jesse EDGOOSE, of York"
