David WEST was baptised at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Kettering, Northamptonshire on 26 June 1836, son of William and Mary WEST. William WEST, a farmer of Shilton, Northants, had married Mary LATIMER or LATIMORE at Cottingham, Northamptonshire on 7 July 1823.

Kerenhappuch EDGOOSE was living at 14 William Street, Leicester, when she married David WEST at the Bishop Street Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on 24 July 1860. She gave her age as 26, two years older than her husband, when in fact she was almost 332! David WEST was a carpenter and joiner of 56 Waterloo Street, Leicester, son of William WEST, farmer. Witnesses were Daniel PACEY and Emily Anne BAKER, the latter possibly daughter of her sister Caroline BAKER who is known to have been living in Leicester in 1862.
