    John Winfrey EDGOOSE was born on 5 December 1953, son of Winfrey Le Lievre EDGOOSE and his wife Enid Mary.

    Winfrey Le Lievre EDGOOSE had married Enid Mary BLAKE on 5 January 1951.

    EDUCATION: He obtained a BSc in Physics and Materials Science from Monash University in 1972-1974 , followed by a Dip Ed, Education from the University of Melbourne in 1976.

    John commenced his career as a scientist and physics teacher working in both public and private schools.

    In 1999 his address was John EDGOOSE, Manager, Energy Smart Schools.

    In July 2000 an internet search of Victorian telephone directories showed a J. W. EDGOOSE and J. E. ROBERTSON at 16 Cooraminta Street, Brunswick.

    In 2001 he was diagnosed with advanced Lymphona, a cancer of the lymphatic system. A bone marrow transplant saved his life, but this led to other health concerns.

    He showed determination by completing his MSc in Renewable Energy at Murdoch University which began in 1998 and continued until 2004.

    He went on to become a team leader at Sustainability Victoria, a statutory authority under the Sustainability Victoria Act 2005, developing geothermal, solar, and wind energy projects.

    The following appeared under Carlton North in the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne Northerrn Region Prayer Diary: "Give thanks for the recovery of John EDGOOSE from cancer".
    Unfortunately the date was not recorded, but John EDGOOSE was a churchwarden on 13 July 2008.

    A Diploma of Management was obtained from the Australian Institute Management from 2010-2011.

    He and his wife lived in Alice Springs from about 2013.

    He chaired the Board of Hepburn Community Wind Farm Project 2013-2015.

    Despite incresasing frailty over the last two years he lived life to the full and was proud of their two daughters.

    John Winfrey EDGOOSE, who died on 6 November 2018, was the husband of Jan ROBERTSON and brother of two sisters.

    A service to celebrate the life of John Winfrey EDGOOSE was held at the Desert Life Church, 323 Undoolya Road, East Side, Alice Springs, NT, Australia, on 12 November 2018.
