  GITTINGS, Stella May formerly SEARS (1873-1953) "Mrs. J. T. GITTINGS, 79 Years Old, Dies Mrs. Stella GITTINGS, 79, of 1108 College Ave., a life-time resident of Racine, died this morning in St. Luke's Hospital. Mrs. GITTINGS, who was born in Caledonia on Sept. 17, 1873, was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church and an active member of the Woman's Association of the church. She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolutiod Order of the Eastern Star, and a former member of the Woman's Club. She is survived by a step-son, J. Halbert GITTINGS; a sister, Mrs. Joseph H. MARTIN, both of Racine; nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her husband, John T. GITTINGS, and by a step-daughter, Mrs. Elinor Gittings STARKEY. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, at 1139 Blaine Blvd., with Rev. D. D. WILSON officiating.
