Notes
JOHN HOLBORNE or HOLBOURNE -1700
John HOLBOURNE junior married Margaret SPENCER at West Walton, Norfolk, on 4 April 1668.
(ATs for 1668/69 but not in the PR)
Martha, the daughter of John HOBORNE and Margaret, was baptised at West Walton, Norfolk, on 9 November 1672.
(PR)
No burial of Margaret at West Walton has been found, nor a record of John's second marriage to Elizabeth, but both events took place before March 1667 when the first of John and Elizabeth's ten children was born.
According to a booklet on West Walton Church published circa 1967 one of the 5 bells hung in the tower bears the inscription "+ John Holburn C.W.., Tobias Norris made me 1699." [C.W. = Church Warden?]
John HOLBORNE (sic) was buried at West Walton, Norfolk, on 11 January 1699/1700.
(www.freereg.org.uk has 11 January 1699. His will was made on 30 September 1699 and proved at Norwich on 6 April 1700)
