  • Notes

    • ANN HOLBORN née EASON Circa 1816-

Ann, daughter of John and Susannah EASON was baptised at Cowbit, Lincolnshire, in 1816. The parish register gives no month for the baptism, just the day of the month, 26th. The entry before is 19 May and the entry following is 15 July, so the date of baptism could be 26 May or 26 June.

The marriage between a Christopher HOLBORN of full age, bachelor, bricklayer, son of James HOLBORN bricklayer and an Ann EASON of full age, spinster, daughter of John EASON, labourer, took place at Pinchbeck Parish Church in Lincolnshire on 4 August 1844. Witnessses were Elisha HOLBORN and Francis WALLING P.C. (parish clerk in 1851)
      (GRO September Q 1844 Spalding 14 747)

Ann, daughter of Christopher and Ann HOLBORN of Pinchbeck Bars, labourer, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 23 August 1846.

(GRO September Q 1846 Spalding [which includes Pinchbeck] 14 534)

Robert HOLBORN aged 34; Christopher HOLBORN, a 24 year old mason; Ann HOLBORN, aged 30, and presumably Christopher's wife; and an infant Ann HOLBORN arrived in New York, USA, from Liverpool on the ship Nathaniel Hooper on 30 May 1848 .

Note: There was no trace of his wife Ann who would seem to have died after 30 May 1848 and before 27 August 1850.
