      "In the name of God Amen, the sixteenth day of March in the thirtieth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second by the grace of god of England Scotland France and Ireland kinge defender of the faith I John Richardson of Pinchbeck in the County of Lincolne yoman beinge weake in body but of perfect memory (thanks be to god) doe make ordaine and declare this, my last will and testament; My soule I humbly resigne and recommend to god that gave it trusting through the alalone merits of my blessed Redeemer and Saviour Jesus Christ that both soule and body shall be made partake of a glorious Reserrection My body I leave to be buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named And now for the settlinge of my temporall Estate I dispose of the same in manner and forme followinge
      And first I give and bequeath to Joseph RUSSELL my wives grandchilde ten shillings
      Item I give and bequeath to John BALL and Mary BALL my wives grandchildren to each of them ten shillings
      Item my will and mynde is that these legacies given to my wives grandchildren shall be paid them within seaven yeares next after my decease
      Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Millicent, after the death of Mary my wife the bedd with the furniture now standinge and being in the house wherein I now dwell in a chamber called the white chamber and bedstead there :
      Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane after the decease of the said Mary my wife a bedstead bell and furniture, standing and beinge in a roome called the hall, in the same house
      Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Richard RICHARDSON the summe of twentye pounds of lawfull english money the same to be paid him when he shall accomplish the age of one and twentie yeares
      Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Millicent the summe of twentye poundes of lawfull English money
      Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane the summe of twentye poundes of lawfull English money to be paid her when she shall accomplish the age of one and twentye yeares, and if either of my said Children Richard, or Jane shall happen to deppart this life before theire parte and portion become due to be paid them as aforesaid My will and mynde is that the parte and portion of him or her soe dyinge shall be decided betweene him or her surviving and my Executrix hereafter named upon equull division
      Item it is my mynde and I will and devise, all and singular my lands and tenements [semi illegible] theire and every of theire rights members and appurtenances Situate lyeinge and beinge in Pinchbecke aforesaid to be [illegible] in Fee Simple for [several illegible words] to my said children Richard Millicent and Jane herein by me given [here the document has been torn apart and suffered severe damage]
      friends William EARLE of Pinchbeck [rest of line torn off] survivour of them, and in the meane tyme by me untill the same can be my will and mynde is that [document damaged and/or illegible] and John ROBINSON shall let and dispose of the same and take the rents issues and profitts of the same to [illegible] said three children Richard Millicent and Jane the same to be paid and devided amongst them upon equall devision as they receive the same , they onely deductinge to themselves xls to each of them which I hereby give them for their care & paynes,
      All the restand residue of my goods and chattells I give and bequeath to May my loveinge wife (in consideration of her releaseinge of her right of dower of in to [undecyphered] out of [three undecyphered words] such lands & tenements whereof I was seised of at any tyme dureinge the Coverture between us, whome I make sole Executrix of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have herewith sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written [signed] John RICHARDSON
