I Thomas RICHARDSON of Pinchbeck in the county of Lincolne husbandman, beeing sick in body, but of good and p[er]fect remembrance praysed bee god therefore : doe make & appoynte this my last will & testament, in forme & man[n]er following. first & especeallye, I com[m]it my soule into the hands of almightye god, trusting to bee saved, by the alone merritts of Jesus Christ my redeemer, and my body to be buried in the church=yard of Pinchbeck; And all my worldlye goods, I give & beequeath in man[n]er following.

It[e]m: I give unto Ellen my wyf, the corne, hay, hempe & after grasse w[h]ich did or doth grow uppon my land lyeing in milnegreene & hyghfeild and two kine, & a featherbed, three pillowes, & a bolster, a blanckett & coverled, & three payre of ffyne hempe teare sheetes, & six table napkinnes w[hi]ch shee hath in her hand & tuic[i]on alreadye, All w[hi]ch I doe give unto her in lew & considerac[i]on of the thirds of my landes, the w[hi]ch if shee shall refuse to release then my will is that shee the sayde Ellen shall have noe benefitt nor leagasye by this my last will and testament: but that the goods soe given unto her shall bee & remaine unto Richard my sonne.
It[e]m: I give unto Edward & Thomas my sonnes one gelding, a gray mare & a foale, a yeareling colt three kine & twoe burlings, my carte & carte geeres, plow & plowgeeres & all my hay yth yard except the lyttle cock in the greene w[hi]ch I give to my sonne Richard: These goods to bee sould presently & after my deceasse, & the mony soe aryseing to equally devyded beetweene, Edward & Thomas my sonnes, & the mony to bee putt forth, towards ther mayneteynance.
