Her entry in the 1939 Register taken on 29 September 1939 is a puzzle. The initial entry on the page is hers and is in a different hand to that of the enumerator. Her date of birth has been changed from Aug 1878 to 19 August 1879 by someone else (perhaps by KIA 30.1.48).
NOTE: The records of the 1939 Register were subsequently used by the National Health Service at its inception in 1948 and became the NHS Central Register, transferred to the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) in 2007.
Deborah BEDFORD, widow of Frank BEDFORD boiler maker, died at 29 Torksey Road, Sheffield, Yorkshire, on 6 February 1950 aged 72. The informant was Gladys May DAVIES of the same address. She was buried in unconsecrated ground on 10 February 1950 in Shiregreen Cemetery, Sheffield.
