      John BATTERHAM, a 23 year old Walsoken labourer and bachelor and son of John BATTERHAM, labourer, married Ann READER at Walsoken Parish Church in Norfolk on 5 June 1843. Ann READER was a 27 year old Walsoken spinster, described as a labourer, the daughter of Robert READER, labourer. Witnesses were John READER and Sarah EATON. The bride, groom, and witnesses made their marks.
