Rachel, daughter of James and Alice EDGOOSE, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 15 June 1679. James EDGOOSE had married Alice HAMMERTON at Pinchbeck on 26 June 1678.
An Index of the Will of Thomas HAMMERTON (16??-1679) of Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire. The Will was made on 10 October 1679. Probate was granted at Boston, Lincolnshire in 1680.

The will of her grandfather Thomas HAMERTON (sic) made on 10 October 1679 included the following:
"It I give unto James EDGOOSE my Boate".
"....... but if the said Alse my Wife doe chance marrie againe then my will is that shee the said Alse shall pay forty shilling to Rachel EDGOOSE, the child of my daughter Alse, and if it die then I give to the next Child of Alse."
