WHAT: The only photograph in existence of the gravestone of JOHN EDGOOSE (1732-1781) taken in 1968. The lettering had been completely destroyed by acid rain on my next visit to Gosberton Churchyard in 1999. There were two EDGOOSE gravestones side by side not far from the path by the church door.
